Point Line Plane No.1-2

DESCRIPTION OF

Hanacha 22 studio : Point, Line, Plane No.1-2

Hanacha Studio’s spring summer 2022 collections named “Point, Line, Plane” is inspired by the simplification process of Bauhaus. The aesthetic of merging design movements named Bauhaus with fashion stems from Cha’s obsession with the concept of Cha’s study through Minimalism and Bauhaus movement.

HANACHA studio’s Autumn Winter 2022 titled “Point, Line, Plane No.2 ” is director CHA’s solidification of Point, Line and Plane series since she keeps on digging in ‘Simplification process of Bauhaus’.

This collection exemplifies two abstract theories of artists. First, Wassily  Kandinsky(1866-1944) who is one of the pioneers of abstract art under Point, Line, Plane thoery. Second, Hilma af Klint(1862-1944) who predated the first purely abstract compositions by Kandinsky. Her work shows inventive geometric visual languages (such as segmented circle, spiral and automatic drawing) and it inspired a new collection.

Under the background of these two artists’ language, Cha extracted contrast figuration which is the opposites of BLACK + WHITE and FEMININITY + MASCULINITY. These predomical and philosophical ideas combine and it also represents INTERDISCIPLINARY in RAINBOW COLOUR PALETTE which is the symbol of assemblage.
